Pita & Puff

Definitely returning in the near future I came for breakfast with my son and had the eggs Benedict Florentine such a good choice and highly recommend!! My son had a chocolate chip pancake and they made it into a bear he was so happy!!!Will have to come back for their lunch or dinner !

Absolutely best atmosphere! We were greeted upon entry. Samantha, our server, was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. All of us, even my grandchildren, were quite pleased with our meals!

Our gyro’s were so good, the lamb was tender and the veggies fresh. Large portions, will definitely return!Even though the service was bad, I’m still giving 5 stars and recommend because the food was great. Would’ve been nice to have our drinks refilled, extra napkins, and a little more sauce, but the waiter disappeared for the entire dinner. We understand it’s hard to find good help. Also forgot our salads.

First time there and we had their 2 for 1 menu at 20.99. Several choices and coffee included. We had pancakes eggs and bacon. It was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. They are also open for lunch and dinner. We will definitely go back.

Jessica is the best! After a few visits, she knew exactly what we liked, just like family. Dmitri greets you coming and going, and really demonstrates your patronage is appreciated. Plus the food is always fresh, generous, affordable and delicious. You will not be disappointed at Pita & Puff, whether you come for the great breakfast omelettes or the wide variety of dinner specials. A real gem, hidden where we locals dine repeatedly and with satisfaction!

OMG, I just found my new favorite place for a gyro - Pita & Puff! The flavors here are incredible; the gyro is wonderfully seasoned, bursting with flavors that make every bite a delightful experience. What sets this place apart is their generosity - they do not skimp on the meat or the toppings, ensuring you get a hearty and satisfying meal every time. And let's not forget about the french fries - they are simply awesome, they have that taste of the fries from many years ago. If you are a gyro enthusiast like me, Pita & Puff is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

Update: Great place! Awesome staff and awesome food and reasonable prices. I honestly don't see how anyone could go wrong with eating there. You owe it to yourself to check it out.!This was the first time my wife and I have gone to Pita & Puff. I can tell you that we'll be back! The first thing we noticed was that it was easy to access and there was plenty of parking. When we entered, we were both struck with the cleanliness and bright airiness of the place. We were immediately greeted and welcomed and after a short look at the menu on the wall, we both decided on the Greek Trio. We quickly realized that there were actually 3 versions of the Greek Trio! We decided on the Greek salad with Pastitio and Gyro meat. WOW! When we saw it we were IMPRESSED! The portion was very generous and the food was simply delicious! We loved how quickly the food came out to us and truthfully, we could not eat another bite. We will be back because there were many things on the menu we would still like to try. You owe it to yourself to check Pita & Puff out. Right off of Tamiami and Tarpon in Port Charlotte!UPDATE:My wife and I went to Pita and Puff (2665 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte) again this Friday for dinner. We decided to try it again because it has recently switched to Table service and we wanted to find out if that affected anything. I am happy to report, NO! In fact We both felt that things had actually IMPROVED since we were there last. The addition of table service did give the place a more upscale feel. However from what we could tell, the prices are still about the same. Also, gone is the menu at the front because they now are using printed and laminated menus. We were promptly seated and given a menu and asked what drinks we would like. We looked around and saw that the place is still very clean and bright. Just as it was before. My wife ordered the Pita's Delight Salad with steak and I ordered the Greek Salad with Gyro meat. The place was not busy and the music that played was 80's and 90's top 40. Not complaining at all. It was delightful. When the food arrived, our server was attentive and stopped back several times to see if we needed anything else. Just like the previous times we were there, the food was excellent and we both felt that they definitely stepped it up a notch. You should all go back and check it out again. I think you will be pleased with the results. One suggestion, our server did not give us her name. I got the impression that even though her service was exemplary, that she did not have a lot of experience at this. Nonetheless, she did a fantastic job. But next time, if they do not give me their name, I will ask. It just makes things more personable. Otherwise, no complaints at all.--
